I was in Oklahoma City Thursday meeting customers, and then later revisiting the Oklahoma City Memorial. It is one of the most beautiful and sad places in Oklahoma.

M and I are going to a Thunder game tonight. I’m excited to escape for the night. You know, from HELL. Anyway, I’m hoping to re-visit the memorial again too.

    Great pic!

Bill’s just answered my question re. for whom the memorial was commissioned. At first, I didn’t know if it was a war memorial. Do I assume there are names on those plaques?

I’ve checked about Oklahoma City Memorial and learned what happened there in the past. It’s about man-made disaster, terrible violence, which could be prevented and must be, while earthquake is natural disaster, and I feel helpless in front of huge energy of nature.

Thank you for your visit and a comment.

I love your composition and camera angle! Great shot!
This is a beautiful place but its history is so sad.
I pray for no more terrorism all over the world.
    Thank you for visiting.

This reflection made quite an impression on me… I’m still trying to get what can cause such a neat reflection in the middle this city memorial… Stunning !

The Oklahoma City Memorial is one of the most beautiful, peaceful places in this country. The chairs are an incredible way to remember those lost, and the statue of Jesus with the scripture ‘And Jesus wept’ inscribed is perfectly placed.

Looks like a nice memorial, one of these people can stop for a bit and think about their lives and the world’s events.
