Unusual Crop
I found these Thunder Up things in a planter a few months ago. Is it the season for basketball. No Seattle whiney babies allowed!! Except for my friend Sylvia who used to live in Seattle.
Details
Tulsa has lots and lots of art deco buildings and art deco is all about details. I found this winged railroad wheel at the old train depot.
the Ground
Way out in western Oklahoma they are too busy drilling Granite Wash gas wells to waste time trying to grow greens for the golf courses. So they use oiled sand.
Blooper (or a shot where things didn’t go as planned)
I ran a race a while back. I think it must have been part of the bad style olympics.
Color
IKEA has lots of color. I understand that some people actually buy the merchandise they sell. I can’t imagine why.
The color image is great. We had a similar concept regarding details this week. As many times as I have photographed the Union Depot, I have never noticed that flying wheel relief. LOVE it! Have a blessed Sunday Yogi.
I like your interpretation of “unusual crop”.
That last shot is amazing!
Oh wow, you have dazzled us with such color and beauty!
That color shot is just awesome. The comment about “the bad style Olympics” gave me a good laugh!
Great captures for the day and thanks for excusing my time in Seattle!! I love it!! Wonderful color and fun for the day!! Hope you’ve had a fun weekend! Enjoy!
Great to see all these color shots ~ Peaceful Sunday to you ~ xxx

The color image is so cool! I love it. And the bloopers shots are hilarious!!
I immediately assumed you have a butt complex but I could be wrong.
Like Ikea or not, and you obviously don’t, they certainly sell colourful objects. I have never been in an Ikea store but I know a lot of people who have!
Very impressed with your first interpretation – up to the high standard I have come to expect:-)
I do look forward to Sundays to see what you have to come up with – you never fail to come up to snuff.
Those shorts are perhaps the worst I’ve ever seen…going to have a hard time getting that image out of my head. I love going to Ikea just to look at the “stuff”. I must confess that I have purchased a few items there.
Great detail shot and color shot.
I bet your crop is the most unusual of the lot! IKEA is pretty popular here in the Toronto area. My theory is that the homes are so expensive that homeowners can’t afford expensive furniture…but it’s only a guess.
Another great collection of photos! Love that art deco.
That’s an interesting shot of the plastic ware. I don’t think it would be much fun to golf on oiled sand, but what do I know, I’m not a golfer!
Another fun one, Yogi! I’ve never been to Ikea. There are too many unfinished projects around here already! Those colors are great.
Nice captures, specially last one!! Indeed, very pretty colors….
