It’s a pretty tree with pretty berries. How convenient that it’s labeled. We saw some trees with black berries and thorns at a spring a couple of days ago, and we’ve been through every tree book and can’t solve the mystery.
I expect the birds like the berries. They remind me of choke cherries.

That is a wonderful tree and if it wasn’t in an arboretum, I’d be there with a sheers to cut a few sprays for my table.
