Skywatch Friday – Valentines Day Edition

It’s Valentines Day, so I don’t mean to pry but are you ready? Card, Flowers, Perfume, Wine, Candy? Don’t get caught short.

And if you are not seeing anybody then Valentines Day marks the end of the Dating Dead Zone. You know what that is right? If you are not dating anybody then you don’t start from Thanksgiving until Valentines Day. So awkward to date somebody right before Christmas or Valentines Day, right?

I am glad that we have these little events scattered through the year. Valentines Day, then Mother’s and Father’s Days. I like the little min-celebrations. I do hate going out to eat on Valentines Day though or Mother’s Day.. The restaurants, at least the good ones, are overstressed and so are their customers.

    Alan,

I don’t like dining out on those occasions, either. In fact, I insist that we don’t. I’d rather get take-out or go another time. Plus, I don’t think you need to eat out for these special occasions. Let’s face it most people eat in restaurants more than they do at home anyhow, so where’s the specialness in it anymore. We don’t actually dine in a restaurant too often but on the rare occasion that we do then I make sure it’s special. I love to dress up – heels, pretty dress, perfume, jewelry, …the whole 9-yard production! You don’t see this anymore and I’m trying to change it. Hey they say change begins with you (me), so that’s what I’m doing. lol Your SWF photos are gorgeous. Is Topaz Studio an app or filter? It’s sure an interesting effect and that last one looks like a painting. The amber tones are so warm. Nice job!

Hello, Yogi! Pretty sky images and edits. We are dining at home, we do not enjoy crowded restaurants during a holiday. Happy Valentine’s Day! Wishing you a happy day and weekend ahead!

I am fortunate to have a husband who loves to cook, and is making me a Valentine’s Day dinner right now while I read some of my favorite blogs. You had some lovely captures to match the day, especially the last one.

I’ve never heard of the Dating Dead Zone, but that’s pretty funny! Who knew your blog would be a great place to come for lifestyle advice!!

That last image is absolutely stunning,
We avoid local restaurants on Mother’s Day and Valentine’s Day. We will probably take in a movie and dine out the day after.

Happy Valentines Day, brother! We don’t celebrate Valentines day at our house, or Mother’s Day either for that matter–Irv says I’m not his mother. Oh well.

Bill took me to the Beach — (one with lots of birds, not the kind where people like in the sun all day). that’s a perfect Valentine’s present in my book (because he is not the fan of sand that I am). Restaurants here are hugely overcrowded during “the season” on every day of the month.

Always enjoy your Sky Watch and seeing so many beautiful sights. However, I am not familiar with the way you are doing the link in now. I had a post be was not able to link in.

    Your shots are beautiful!

We don’t celebrate these days – they are made up to make money, in my opinion… Although my son did surprise me with some Valentine candy this year…
