While on vacation recently on the west coast, we came upon a scene that reminded me of New Orleans. Sweetie and I haven’t been back since the year before Katrina. We are going to have to check it out.
Check out Weekend Reflections
Photo from Legoland in Carlsbad, California. The structures are all legos! I kind of got a little crazy with all the tools at Picnick.com
I like the mood of this picture and the reflections are really cool.
Have a great weekend.

Ah, that would have reminded me of New Orleans, too! I lived there for over a year — many years ago. It is a city like no other! Enjoy your weekend!

I haven’t been to New Orleans in over 20 years. This is a lovely reminder via the west coast.
An English Girl Rambles
That’s fabulous.
Perfect effect for the old riverboats. Nice photo.
It does look like it might be a riverboat on the Mississippi. I drove through New Orleans a few years ago. The view to the south was all devastation. Residential area, shopping malls, all looked like bombed out war zone. Depressing. I hear that the city itself is back in business but I doubt it will ever be the same.
Nice shot and reflections. So much to look at.
Riverboats make handsome reflections, eh? I like that you’ve also included the tugboat and park area here as well.
It’s fabulous photo – I do love it!
happy weekend to you:)
Agree! And I like the ‘Ole Man River’ essence to this. They look a smidge squashed but … as thought the paddle-steamer was backed-in to a parking spot. Do they gooo backwards?
Good post …
I like what you did with this one, Yogi. Great job.
I think you made very good use of the Picnik tools. Everything about your photo is perfect.
It´s an amazing view. Very well done!
