Skywatch Friday – Christmas

Here is Lizzie the Christmas Cat. She loves laying under her tree in our living room. She is kind of cranky right now because there are now presents under the tree.

I’m recycling this photo from a couple weeks ago. Santa water skiing on a lake in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

This is my brother’s Christmas tree in his apartment at assisted living. Please be thinking of him. He got a breakthrough infection of Covid despite being triple vaccinated. He has had the monoclonal antibody treatment and is recovering. The center has quarantined the residents to their room right now because of the Covid surge. He is a former marathon runner and he had been doing virtual 5Ks in his walker up and down the hall of the center. So no more of that. I’ll be able to go see him tomorrow.

Santa Claus

This was a scene from Bentonville, Arkanasas in November. Kids just kind of make Christmas.

And a drone shot of our house decorations.

My MIL has great decorations. I love how she does the cast iron stove in her front entry.

Some people go to Turkey Mountain and decorate trees there. They do go and take the decorations down.

December 2019 from Phone

One of the project managers at my former employer had a pipeline construction Christmas tree. She added to the decorations every year. She and the rest of my former coworkers are still working remotely, since March of 2020.

My wife’s gingerbread cookies are always a hit!

One of the nice things about working downtown was checking out all the decorations in the various office buildings.

Oops!! I forgot, this a Skywatch Friday post!!! Here is a sky from the Bakken Oilfield of the North Dakota. My friend Josh took this photo and I am stealing it.

I hope everybody has a great Christmas. Come join the fun at Skywatch Friday!

Lizzy is just cranky because you haven’t given her her present yet 🙂

    Love the Santa photo.

Sorry to hear about your brother, praying he is better soon!

I love Santa and Mrs. Claus, and what a cute little boy.

I like you house decorations, very Christmasy.

I was looking at all the pretty decorations and didn’t even realize that was a cast iron stove, how neat!

I love that people decorate the trees at Turkey Mountain.

I like the construction decorations. My dad worked in the construction field for the state of Ohio until he retired.

Cute cookies, I’ve never had a gingerbread cookie.

That’s a beautiful tree, and that sky photo is amazing!

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Alan – how I miss our cats! Josie also enjoyed sitting under the tree, but she didn’t mind the presents because she LOVED to chew the ribbons! I am sorry to hear that your brother got COVID – I will be praying for him. My husband and I were just talking this morning about our favorite Christmas memories, and they all involved our kids when they were small! I think I want a drone for my birthday (a little too late to ask for it for Christmas!) And the final shot is amazing, even if it isn’t yours! Merry Christmas to you and yours!

I am so sorry to hear about your brother. I wish him a full recovery, and hopefully he will be able to do 5ks soon again. That is a beautiful tree in his apartment. Lovely photos and gorgeous sky. Lizzie looks very beautiful under the tree. Happy Holidays!

Lovely decorations everywhere. My favorites are skiing Santa and Lizzie. Wish you all the best, special prayers for Bob, and Merry Christmas!

All are beautiful Christmas decorations. I suppose Lizzie is cranky having to share her favourite spot with the presents. That is a spectacular sky shot. Wishing you and yours Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

I’ll be thinking of your brother – the congregate type housing situations, unfortunately, are so vulnerable to COVID. Those gingerbread cookies look so good! Your outdoor decorations are nice, too. The other day I was in my office building for only the second time since March 19, 2020 – it was so strange. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you, and thank you for hosting this weekly meme, week after week without fail. (And PS, nice sunset.)

I love these! I’m so sorry about your brother.
The lights are wonderful and Lizzie so cute.
Our cat in grumpy as I keep her in and away from the bird feeder.
Great photos. Your outdoor lights are amazing! I just don’t have the heart for such.

I was sure sorry to hear that Bob had Covid. I know from IG that you were able to visit him I hope he’s fully recuperated now. Our county has a surge of cases the past 2 weeks – supposedly, we have the highest per capita # of cases in the nation. There are soooo many tourists here over the holidays. Bob and I isolate and wear masks whenever we’re out in public (which isn’t often). Sure wish I had a Heather Gingerbread man!
