Ribbon
I cheated here. I didn’t have a single ribbon pic on file that didn’t involve Christmas and right now, I am not into Christmas. So how about a concrete ribbon. Except this one is asphalt. Except the asphalt is over some concrete. Way out in western Oklahoma on Interstate 40.
Writing or Letters
Another example of my non-refinement. Not a single pic available of writing anything. All our writing is online. So how about these letters made out of driftwood nailed on the side of restaurant out in the middle of nowhere somewhere between Seattle and Mount Rainier.
Notice
When I see a notice like this. I tend to pay attention. Here in Oklahoma I always assume that snakes could be present any time of the year. I recommend that you do also when you visit.
Silhouette
A late afternoon dog walk during a warmer and greener time of year.
On Water
My wife and son in a canoe at Island Park, Idaho last summer. I bet that pond has a coat of ice on it at least a foot thick.
Interesting interpretation and, funnily enough, when I read the header “ribbon” my immediate thought was “a long and winding road”. Obviously a case of “great minds think alike”:-)
My favourite picture is the final one.
Perfectly correct “letter” image, and perfectly creative “ribbon” image. Well done Yogi. Have a blessed Sunday.
Oh my goodness, I’d like to see some water like that around here right now. Love that warning sign, and yep there are some folks that might dig in holes looking, I know from visiting my grandpa’s place in Arizona! But you letters out of drift wood, I’m thinking is priceless. I think it’s something I have to share with my grandchildren to recreate, with sticks from out back! How cool!
Very creative take! Love the letters too.
i enjoy the silhouettes & the on the water.
you lost me on the ribbons & asphalt?? not a clue there??! ( :
Love the driftwood alphabet. You are excused for not having a writing photo on file.
Very clever selections this week. Really like the driftwood alphabet but not the snake sign.
beautiful shots. Just a notice about rattlesnakes is enough to send me scurrying back to the car. I love those letters! How creative. As I was walking that ribbon of highway….
Your scavenger hunts always make me laugh! That driftwood is impressive, that’s for sure.
Creative take on the ribbon and I love those letters!
Such good memories!
We need one of those rattlesnake signs for our property!
Your ribbon shot works very well. I went to high school at the foot of the Berkshire mountains and in the spring they would “close” part of the mountain due to all the rattlesnakes that were known to be around sunning themselves.
I love your creative take on the prompts. Of course, the last shot has me even more ready for spring now.
