Saturday’s Critters, Springtime

It’s the love season for dove. Here’s a couple doing some mixed bathing, almost concealed because the blend in so well with the fence.

Mr. Squirrel gets kind of thirsty also.

And we have another cat roaming the back yard at night.

We have lots of sparrows stopping by.

I love the cardinals.

I was walking at Lafortune Park the other day and saw this goose checking everybody out. As I approached it he started acting restless so I backed off so he could chill down.

Grackles everywhere. I run them off whenever I can.

And a brief kerfuffle between a sparrow and a cardinal.

And I completed another jigsaw puzzle on my ipad. I am really slowwwww on these. But they are fun.

I am linking with Saturday’s Critters hosted by Eileen.

Great collection of bird photos and videos. I love the sweet Doves. It has been a while since I have seen a stray cat in our yard. The puzzle is a pretty city scene. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.

Pretty doves! It’s funny that they match the fence. I think more of them than earlier years are now hanging around our garden.

Our doves are sweet, the cardinals and American goldfinches are a welcome sight, but we are at war with the grackles. It’s a war I know we won’t win, but still. Today we saw a male hairy woodpecker successfully peck away a grackle but even that took a bit of time and effort. Interesting that you have a lot of the same visitors in Oklahoma that we do in New York.

Great photos and video! We don’t have that many birds in our yard, but the neighborhood I live in has feral cats and free roaming chickens. One of the cats loved being next door in my son’s backyard for some reason and if he put it over the fence it just ended up back in his yard, so he ended up adopting it.

Hello, :=) Your yard has many wild life visitors. The Cardinal and Squirrel, and even the humble Sparrow which seem to be declining in numbers, are all super sightings. I almost missed seeing the Doves as they blended in with the fence, but the Goose was as sharp a picture as you can get and it’s a wonderful shot.
