Oklahoma Skywatch

Oklahoma, where the wind comes sweepin’ down the plain
And the wavin’ wheat can sure smell sweet
When the wind comes right behind the rain.
Oklahoma, Ev’ry night my honey lamb and I
Sit alone and talk and watch a hawk
Makin’ lazy circles in the sky.
We know we belong to the land
And the land we belong to is grand!
And when we say
Yeeow! Ayipioeeay!
We’re only sayin’
You’re doin’ fine, Oklahoma!
Oklahoma O.K
Sorry, I wasn’t born in Oklahoma but I love it here. I know that where you live is great also!
Check out Skywatch Friday for other views of the sky, and if you are lucky some lyrics, from all over the world.

I love your enthusiasm for your adopted home! And it is beautiful! Such lovely “see forever” clouds indeed! And, yes, now I’ll be singing Oklahoma all day, too!! Have a great weekend!

OH NO! Now I’ll be singing that song for the rest of the day! 🙂 (That’s OK…Oklahoma OK!)

I LOVE that silver lining to those gauzy clouds.

Pretty! Wow-you know the words! I don’t know the words, but they didn’t teach us the Oklahoma state song in my Kansas history classes. 😉

That is a gorgeous picture of the sky! Makes me kinda wish I had carried my camera with me today. I stepped out of Collins Hall (TU) today just after 5:00 and was just amazed by the gorgeous blue of the sky today in Tulsa. The wind was whipping pretty good too even if there wasn’t any waving wheat!

Did I tell you where my new blog is? I need to start a notebook detailing who I’ve told so I can quit annoying them. Anyway … http://www.bethszimmerman.com I’d love it if you’d stop by and maybe even follow again. 🙂

That’s a great long view of your grasslands and sky there in Oklahoma, Yogi! It’s good to love where you live.

Oklahoma is a state I have yet to explore and I look forward to that day. This is a beautiful sky and I enjoyed the lyrics. Great choice, I’m going to be singing that all morning now I can tell. Loved that movie!
