Sweetie and I went to see New Moon last weekend. I loved it. Lots better than the book, lots. They cut the hundreds of pages of teenage angst to a 30 second sweep. Wonderful!!
This movie is better than the original Twilight movie.
I still don’t get why the the little whiny girl likes Edward instead of Jacob. Edward is such a fop. My dear Aunt B told me after I reviewed the first movie that is because I am not a teenage girl. All I can say is thank goodness for that.
I give it 3.5 stars out of 4.
Skip the book, go see the movie! Check out the web site. Lots of good stuff there.
Well you’re a man, as is Edward, whilst Jacob is just a boy/man. And for me that’s the difference and the appeal of Edward, all that pent up passion you just know he’s holding back. Women can’t resist that stuff, it’s intoxicating.
I am now halfway through book 3 and still loving them all. I also have a serious Edward crush, the book character not the Robert P kind – yet! I hope to see the movie this weekend sometime.
My daughter enjoyed Taylor Lautner running around with no shirt on in the movie. She said “Edward” looked pale and scrawny. She has good taste! I haven’t seen it yet, not really a fan so I can wait for DVD.
I agree – this time the movie was better than the book! If I hadn’t read the book then I might have been more of a Jacob fan. In the book I thought he was immature and whiny. Edward… he’s more restrained. Definitely an Edward fan here even if I’m not a Robert P fan.
Hi Yogi – I heard good things about this movie from another blogger, too. I’ll put it on our list – if you liked it, maybe my husband will, too.
Not having the same point of view as a teenage girl is likely a plus for you.
I’ve read the books and saw the first movie. Was not impressed. Somehow I was able to suspend my disbelief while reading, but not on the screen. I, too, thought Jacob was more likeable than Edward.
Movie 2 was way better than book 2. I can’t tell you how many times I want to put the darn book down and move on to book 3. Ugh, it was so hard to get through… so boring and repetitive. The movie cut through the crud pretty well. I was at the premier, and let me tell you, I was surrounded by hormonal teenage girls ooh’n and ahhh’n over both Edward and Jacob. I felt SO out of place lol.
