Happy Birthday Sweetie!!
We had a little family birthday party for her.
Her mother got her a nice cake.
You want to know what kind of nice guy I am? I know you don’t really but as you can guess I’m going to tell you anyway. I took the numbers off the cake for the photograph.
Speaking of her Mother, here is Nana.
I warned her. You mess with me, I’m putting you on the blog! So here you are.
Nana also provided the legendary Birthday Angel. Its been a part of Sweetie’s birthdays ever since she was a little girl. It used to embarrass Sweetie. Now she adores it.
Nana also sponsored a tea for Sweetie. Over a score of her dear friends came in her honor. Security was posted to keep low life crusty gas guys bloggers off the premises so I missed it. All reports though were that it was a great success. Sweetie was certainly thrilled.
Happy Birthday Sweetie
Sounds like a nice occasion. I hope you were the one who purchased those lovely roses. You’d get a lot of points for that.
That’s just so… sweet. 🙂
I loved being a part of Sweetie’s birthday celebration. Nana is pretty great, too. I’m going to put her in charge of celebrating my birthday from now on.
@Janie – No I didn’t buy the roses so no points for me.
@B – Thanks for coming to Sweetie’s Tea. Yep, Nana is great at throwing parties. You know she had a catering business.
Also, thanks for the little gift you gave me. I’ve already thought of a use for it.
What a nice post for your wife! The cake is beautiful, and the last shot of the pink roses with the pine needles is exquisite! I’m sure she had a lovely birthday.
Happy Birthday Sweetie! Absolutely gorgeous cake. Lovely roses. You did good. From the group picture it looks like SPB is almost as tall as his mother.
Happy Birthday!
Real sweet of you to take those candles off the cake 😉 Happy Birthday Sweetie, loved all the happy smiling faces.
Happy, Happy Birthday to your wife, Yogi! You are quite a guy, Yogi, to be protective of those dreaded birthday numbers! That should get you some points. Also, Nana looks so great – she was probably dying to be on the blog. I’d be sentimental about the angel, too…
@Barb – Thank you. I was just kidding about Nana. She is quite the woman.
@Denise – thank you!
@Jill – I’ll pass it on to Sweetie. Thank you!
@Tulsa Gentleman – I’ll pass it on. Yes SPB is almost as tall as Sweetie. Sweetie still has her bluff in though. We went to Blue Dome today so she could have pancakes on her birthday and they were closed!
@Susie of Arabia – Thanks. I love your blog. I have learned so much from it.
