In mid-October the family drove up from Tulsa to Saint Louis for a Fall Break trip. We are big zoo fans so the Saint Louis Zoo was a must see. It had lots of animals of course but something special about this zoo is the landscaping.
Of course, being a zoo they had plenty of interesting critters.

What a fun place to explore! The Autumn colors are fabulous.
Sunny 🙂
Oh, I love zoos! Not that I like to see animals in cages — fortunately zoos are much more animal friendly these days! But I do love a chance to see species that I could never see otherwise. The colors in your shots are absolutely breathtaking! Looks like a fun day to me!
Thanks for sharing the beauty and the fun, Yogi!

beautiful landscaping, autumn colors, and critters. Looks like a fun place. I love visiting zoos.
I love that zoo!!! And, oh, how I love watching the penguins!
These are great pictures Yogi!!
Yogi: That was a super fun trip to the zoo, I love your animal captures.
That is one fabulously landscaped zoo. Love all the colors. How inviting to sit in front of a waterfall. That is one funny looking camel.
Zoo’s are always fun. I love the bear and the pretty colored tree is just gorgeous.
Wow you’re not kidding about the landscaping, absolutely stunning!
That place looks perfect.
The landscaping DOES look great! That camel is a little weird looking, though. Sounds like we need to load up the Three Little Lams and have a weekend in St. Louis.
I’ve never been to a zoo like that – so pretty!
I’m with Alyssa on the camel thing. He reminds me of Turdbeast.
Wow the zoo is so beautiful not only for its animals but also the beautiful colour of autumn.
I haven’t been to a zoo in years. Thanks for the trip — and those fall colors are great!
the redness of the leaves and it’s beauty just blows me away.
I presume both waterfalls are man made.
What kind of natural gas do you manufacture? I was travlling in Brunei and Sarawak when my host told me about LPG.
Thanks for visiting. Hee Haw!!!
Yogi that place looks really nice. In all the years I lived in Missouri I never went to the St. Louis zoo. Went to the zoo in K.C though but wasn’t as nice as that one. Love those waterfalls
omg. that bear might eat me.
love the red foliage.
You always have the best MWT posts! You are so right about the landscaping, but I haven’t been there in probably 20 years. I’ll need to take my girls sometime. Thanks for the pictures!
