During a hike at Oxley Nature Center last Sunday I saw a few deer out and about. They were not in the open they were in brush and trees. So I got to practice simultaneously manual focusing, and aperture. Not that good at it but I got a few decent photos.
I love seeing deer out in the wild.
It is always so unexpected.

i too LOVE seeing the deer in the wild!! i do understand about the circle of life, but seeing people hunt them for sport is a concept i just can’t understand. i know many people do not agree!! i have had that “stick” problem so often lately…a few days ago, i wrote an entire post about it!! i have never tried “manual focusing” i can barely hold the camera straight!!!
…deer certainly blend into their surrounds!
Lovely deer photos, we love seeing them in the farm fields across from us. I’m visiting from Saturday’s Critters,

Hello, Yogi
Seeing the deer is always a treat for me! Great photos.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
It’s always a treat to spot deer in the wild, even if they make you work for the photo.
It’s so exciting to spot deer in the wild. It’s one of my favorite sightings.
We see mule deer in our area, and I never tire of watching them. The rut is on for the bucks, and some sadly have fought to the death this season.
Beautiful photos of the white-tailed deer.
It’s great that you saw them in nature.
I wish you a lovely Sunday.
Greetings Irma
I’ve rarely seen deer in the wild, so I enjoyed your pictures. The shadow in the second picture makes it look like the deer has a stripe.
Lovely photos of the deer.
We have a ton of deer where we live even many that visit our backyard frequently. Your photos are wonderful
They are tricky to photograph!
