There is a bronze bison herd at Tulsa’s Lafortune Park. They added on to it a few months ago and I finally went over to see it.
Bison make for great sculptures because they look so powerful and they have this sense of movement even when they are standing still.
So these new additions look great and complement the others already there.
And everyone loves the “Red Dogs” the bison calves who play and cavort just like their real life counterparts do.
I’m linking with Eileen’s Saturday’s Critters. Check it out.

Hello Yogi,
I love the Bison sculptures. The little ones are adorable.
I remember seeing them walking past our car in Yellowstone, they are big beasts.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.

…Alan, these are fabulous.
Wow, thank you!
Those sculptures are impressive! You really captured that sense of power they have.
Powerful is the name!
Yeah, the baby is adorable! Tulsa has so many interesting sculptures.
Love the Bison.
I played Babe Ruth baseball at La Fortune park in the early 60’s. It was Edison HS home field since the field at school had no fences or scoreboard. It was just a practice diamond. Thanks for the memories.
I have very happy memories of the bison in North Dakota and Yellowstone. They are marvelous animals as is this sculpture you have shared of them today. Brings back a lot of happy memories from spending time with them. Thank you and have a great week!
