The neighborhood adjoining us has a “swan pond” complete with a black swan that chases off all the other waterfowl.
This is from my front yard looking to the west at sunset one day.
A volunteer group that I am a member of had a meeting a local brewery just out of downtown. Leaving I took this photo looking west toward downtown Tulsa and the setting sun.
This is a painting I found at our recent trip to the Crystal Bridges Museum in Bentonville, Arkansas. It is “Home by the Lake” by Frederic Church. It’s a great skywatch painting.
I am linking with Skywatch Friday.

…the first one is award winning.
You live in a nice tidy modern looking neighbourhood and I’m liking the painting. Have a good week.
Wonderful sky captures – I’d love to live close to black swans.
Glad you didn’t get chased away by the Swan Patrol!
Tulsa has some spectacular skies. Love that painting!
Beautiful captures.
Gorgeous series of photos. Happy weekend to you.
I love the first pond photo…it has a dreamy quality to it
Beautiful colours in your skies.
Amazing skies. Fantastic clicks.
beautiful sunsets.
Not sure what going on. But when I go to the link. It gives me an dangerous sign.
Your photos are great. Not sure if I like the yellow or pink the best.
I have to admit that Fredric Church is like THE master of clouds. No one in my book can quite measure up. I don’t think I have ever seen a black swan. Swans are famous for keeping other birds out of their area. I have the choice of PINK, ORANGE or GOLDEN skies, with my favorite being you got it Church’s clouds. LOL! Nicely done blog…..!!!!!
Your first photo is museum worthy. It’s stunning. The second photo isn’t bad, either. The sky in Church’s painting is a masterpiece. He got the colors and shadows exactly right. I took a lot of pictures at Crystal Bridges when I visited in 2013 bad sadly, I lost a lot of them years ago.
