A deer I found while hiking on Turkey Mountain. The deer is kind of fuzzy but the shrub in front of it is in perfect focus. That is why I call myself a picture and not a photographer.

Earlier this month I found this rabbit on our front walk. It was very hot and I think it was thirsty so we added a water bowl in the front yard. We already a couple bowls in the backyard.
Lizzie the cat has such beautiful expressive eyes.
And a Merlin collage from a hike I took earlier this month.
We have a power line running through the greenbelt in the neighborhood. All sorts of hawks like this red tailed hawk perch up there and look for their next meal. Sorry for the fuzzy photo. It was at the far range of my camera and lens.

Yogi, we have a large bird bath in our front yard and we have to fill is up multiple times a day as the deet and other critters drink it dry. It has been a hard hot dry summer this year for all in the west.

Such a wonderful variety of critters this week! Kodi and Sadie look like the coziest napping buddies, and Lizzie has the most expressive eyes.

A blue-grey gnatcatcher. A new bird for me; they are in a protected status in my New York State. Lizzie grabbed my heart with those eyes. Hope you are taking it easy with all your heat. We are heading into another heat wave where I live. Alana ramblinwitham
Lizzie is very pretty, photogenic too. So many bloggers around the country have rabbits. The only ones I’ve ever had were escaped pets. They don’t last long, we have huge owls. No squirrels whatsoever, probably learned not to move here.
