Dress Up
These two are nephew (son of my niece Mary) Mr. Beans and the World’s Best Brother-in-Law, Irv. The occasion was the marriage of Irv’s daughter Jillian a couple of years ago. These two are two very sharp dressed men. The young woman in the background it turns out was the wedding photographer, Caitlyn, a friend of my sister, Ellen. The photographer is also a chemical engineer who works on natural gas processing plants just like I used to do, and she lives in Oklahoma. Hopefully she will overcome this unfortunate career choice and avoid becoming a “Crusty Gas Gal.” She is a very talented photographer and a great blogger. Candy
I love truffles and sometimes Heather gives me a box, but I have to share. I don’t mind sharing with her. I probably won’t share with you though. Sorry, that’s the way it is. When you get through crying I will tell you why.
Pumpkin
I love pumpkins and decorated pumpkins even more and those decorated by others the most of all.
Spooky
I am not a guy who believes in ghosts. However when I go running on Turkey Mountain and it gets a little dark and late it seems spooky to me. It is an urban wilderness area but was quite the oilfield way back when. There was moonshining going on and a deputy sheriff got killed. Lots of history back then. I feel it when I run. It doesn’t scare me. But I do wonder who seems to be chasing me. I run so slow, especially on trails and at night that if it is trying to catch me, it is not working too hard.
Orange
How about an Orange Sky at Orange Beach, Alabama?
Great job with each of the prompts.
The Turkey Mountain shot really does have an eerie feel to it.
No truffle for me? Hmmph!
Great shots for the day as always! Love the one of Turkey Mountain in particular!!
Beautiful photos all ! Candy and pumpkin are my favorites but I like orange and spooky too.
Nice choices for the prompts.
Dress Up – A “sharp dressed” men and in uniforms. Makes a girls heart go pitter-patter.
Candy -Oh Truffles….Yum! – I am sad that you won’t share with me though. – Although those puppies can be expensive so I’m sure you’d want them all to yourself just for that reason.
Spooky – I can see why it might feel a bit spooky to run in an area rich in the history of moonshiners. I admire you for running even if it’s not all that fast. I can’t run anymore, bad ankles.
Orange – What a perfect place for such an orange sunset.
I won’t cry, I’ll buy my own truffles. One of the perks of living in Belgium, the land of chocolate. Love your spooky shot and the orange sky.
Handsome couple of men in uniform and that candy shot makes my mouth water.
Oh so adorable first off, spooky and awesome delights. I really like these words this week!
I’m crying because you won’t share the chocolate. Don’t think you’d find me in those woods after dark. Good selections.
Mr B is looking good. He looks like there is a bit of devilment in him too. Have a good week.
Nice choices for each challenge. I’m through crying, but you still haven’t told me why you didn’t share.
I just read somewhere that people who eat lots of chocolate have trimmer waistlines than people who don’t. So I need that truffle.
Orange sky, Orange Beach, perfectly orange.
I would be very careful about running on Turkey Mountain when visibility is reduced by impending nightfall. That has never been the safest place in Tulsa County.
Those two guys are really handsome!
That orange sky is amazing. There must be a lot of Broncos fans in Alabama also.
The photographer’s name is Caitlyn and here’s a link to her blog http://www.caitlynmariephotography.com/.
I’m inclined to agree with you re. truffle sharing – not sure I would either. However, I would give away the ones with a flavour not to my taste (hiding the teeth marks of course).
Good picture story telling this week – take care on Turkey Mountain.
Love the story to go with your spooky shot. I’d be pretty nervous around there too.
The truffles look amazing!
I love your orange shot as well.
Those woods do sound very spooky! But I am very easily spooked, so I don’t think I’d ever run there!
