I love the reflection of the sun off the tile of the old Y. This is a three year old photo. The building is now all boarded up awaiting its fate.

FIne pattern of windows in your building shot. Nothing like bright sunshine this time of year.
Given it’s original purpose, I would think that a fitness facility or wellness center would still work in this building. There seems to be far more people living in very close proximity to the downtown area. I would guess that parking is the major problem area with this building. Still, it is a nice example of late fifties, early sixties modern architecture. Nicely captured.
nice shot, great angle … too bad its shuttered
I agree with Daryl – too bad its shuttered and probably doesn’t face a very promising future! Great reflection for the day!! Have a great weekend!
Love the angle of this reflection shot. Have a great weekend Yogi!
The pale reflections seem to symbolise how the identity of this place is fading fast! Too many of these sad stories! Lovely perspective!
This is a really amazing shot that you had! I liked this post very much.

Not just Tulsa, but the whole of the world seems to be disposing of the old fashioned values in the name of “progress”. I find it sad.
I just had a glance to your picture and I had the disco music YMCA poping in the head… 😀
Intriguing facade with that windows. I like it.
Oh, too bad it isn’t being used for something. It looks like a sturdy structure.
jolie ecole ;o)
Aww darn I hate when that happens. Looks like it would have been worthwhile saving, but what do I know. Hope they have a nice new shiny facility.
I love the lines and the light in this one.
