My third week participating in Scavenger Hunt Sunday. I love the challenge of the meme. Each week there are five “items” given and the challenge is to find photographs that have the items. It is also interesting looking at the fellow participant’s interpretation. There are some really creative bloggers participating.
Yellow
My son SuperPizzaBoy at a disc golf course at Tulsa’s Chandler Park late last winter.
Getting Ready
My niece Mary’s son Mr. Beans at my other niece Jillian’s wedding last summer in Colorado Springs. What a fine looking young man he is. I think he was the ring bearer.
Bright
Putting up the Christmas lights on the house last year under a beautiful Oklahoma sky.
Teeny Tiny
I participate in an obsession a sport called Geocaching where I use a GPS receiver to hunt containers hidden in parks and forests and other places by other geocachers. The classic container is an ammo box. This ammo box was apparently for micro ammo. See Geocaching.com for more information on this sport. Also, sorry for my unkempt fingernail. I’ll make sure its trimmed before I post another similar photograph.
Connections
Connections was really hard for me but you know a wedding is a connection right? (One reason that I love this meme, sometimes I have to think. I’m not used to thinking!!) I captured this couple in downtown Tulsa at Holy Family Cathedral. The photographer was posing the couple as my wife and I were stopped at stop light on our way to a concert. You can tell that the groom is really proud of his beautiful bride. Right after the picture he looked right at me and gave me the old Generation Y chin nod and I gave him a thumbs up. I have no idea who they are but I wish them well.
Anyway, that is it for me on this weeks Scavenger Hunt.
I love your connective photos.
You certainly covered the theme for this week. Really like the Bright rooflines.
Enjoying your entries on Scavenger Hunt Sunday! Great interpretations!
You do a fantastic job of fulfilling the requirements. 🙂 Love that last image. 🙂
That is a fun meme! I may have to give it a try someday soon.
Good matches for the themes, I wouldn’t be very good at that.
i’ve wanted to try geo-caching with my granddaughter! I didn’t realize the geo-box could be so small. Isn’t SHS fun? I love that it encourages me to “think outside the box” & I can check in with other bloggers to get a peek into their lives, learn about where they live, & see what makes them “tick”… hope to see you here next week!
What a great job you did with the theme!! I’d never be that good! Love your captures for the day!!
Fantastic shots for this meme. I like your thinking on all of them!
Very cool about the Geocaching – it’s really popular here too.
I like your choices this week, Yogi. I might try it myself – looks like fun.
Beautiful! I love your “getting ready” shot. He is just adorable. Great job!
These photos are great. Your thinking sure paid off! You are an ace with those Christmas lights, and your family is beautiful near and far.
Great photos this week. I’ve always wanted to try Geocatching. I really need to get GPS Receiver, I should look in to that this week. I think my girls well and myself would LOVE it.
I see this post as a bit like a cryptic crossword. You’ve answered the subject matter brilliantly. Well done you 🙂
Ah, a meme that makes one think adds something extra to the challenge. I’d say you thought this one out very well.
