Wow, classic western saloon. I picture round tables with cowboys playing poker and the sheriff shooting it out with the outlaws in the street. Mister Dillon, Mister Dillon! Did you go inside?
These are classics with a wonderful feel of vintage old. My son was married in Cuchara, Colorado, and across the street from the hotel where we had the reception was the saloon and the “Dog Bar.” Dogs were welcomed and they all came right on in with their masters. I found that to be true in Ireland, too. Loved the post. genie
Terrific signs! Like stepping back in time and, yes, they do indeed take them seriously! Hope your week is going well!

Is there a sign for hitching my horse? The saloon looks like it’s been there since 1845, not 1945.

Hope Payson survives the Sunflower fire.
Cool looking place to tip a few.
I’m just wondering for how much longer the overhang will remain intact. The posts look a little skew-whiff.
It makes me think of tumbleweed and spittoons.
@Gaelyn – the area was very very dry when we there.
@Leedslass – Rural Arizona is the home of the makeshift temporary longterm repair.
looks like the old west is still alive and kickin’ in Payson
Now open? Does tat mean it was closed?
@Camera Girl – I think it is one of those places that opens and closes quite a bit.
And, I expect to see a row of cowboys standing at the bar. 🙂 Love the Jack Daniels sign. Booze from Kentucky. 🙂
a scene from “The Quick and The Dead” comes to mind.:p

Great signs and saloons too. I’d be in in a flash.
I’ve been looking for this kind of establishment around here. I’d be there in a jiffy with my camera 🙂
The sign suggests that this place has weathered wild west days in grand style! A great find!
That’s good. If you must do something, do it well. Otherwise, do nothing and be quiet about it!
I seem to be tilting a bit to the left as I read these signs. Maybe I need a beer for my right hand as well?
If I will be there it is like stepping on the one of my favorite tv series The Wild Wild West ^_^ Great shots!

Jolted me back reading the Ox-Bow Incident. Read it?
Great signs that fit the western decor. Makes me want to step in for a beer, or maybe a sasparilla.
Like being back in the Old West isn’t it? You expect to see Marshal Dillon or John Wayne comin’ through the swinging doors.
