Skywatch Friday – Saguaro Sky

Saguaro Cactus has fascinated me all my life. How can something that big grow in such profusion in a hot and dry climate? They sure look nice set against the blue Arizona sky.

When we were there last week they were just beginning to bloom.

The saguaro never fails to amaze me! Needless to say, we don’t see any here in Seattle, but I did so enjoy them when I traveled in the west years ago! Terrific captures and beautiful skies!!

thanks for including the link to the fact sheet there was a lot that I didn’t know. I’ve never seen these in person, only in my favorite genre of movie and on blogs. And I’ve never seen the flowers either. Lucky you that you got to see the desert in bloom, or at least some of it. It’s hard to imagine how long it took for that one to get that tall. Nature – isn’t it amazing? your skies are lovely Yogi. happy weekend to you.
