Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mom’s in my life.
Especially Sweetie, my wife and best friend and mother to our child, even if he towers over her now. He couldn’t have a better Mother nor one that loves him as much as Sweetie does. The love of a mother is awesome to behold.
My Mother-in-Law Nana, best MIL in the world.
My Sister, Ellen, who brought three daughters up to be very capable women.
Two of her daughters, Jillian on the right, and Mary on the left, mother to my nephew, Mr. Beans, seen at the far left.
My favorite picture (stains and all) of my Mother. She has been gone some years now. I think about her every day and I miss her very much. So much of her personality comes out in this photo.
Who can find a virtuous woman? She is far more precious than jewels…
Strength and honor are her clothing, and she can laugh at the time to come.
She opens her mouth with wisdom, and loving instruction is on her tongue.
She watches over the activities of her household and is never idle.
Her sons rise up and call her blessed.
He husband also praises her:
Many women are capable, but you surpass them all!
Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord will be praised.
~Proverbs 31:10, 25-30

They both – mother and son – always look above average when it comes to happy. I’m thinking Dad has *something* to do with it.
