I have been in Dallas this week at the Gas Processors Association annual convention. One day late in the afternoon I walked down to Dealy Plaza to check out the place where John Kennedy was assassinated. Walking back the sun popped out and I was in a reflection from the buildings downtown. Does any town have more mirror buildings than Dallas? Anyway, Itook this shot with my Ipod.
Wow! That is a good shot.
A good shot indeed and once again I’m reminded of my “hometown”!! Another fun visit!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
We were last in downtown Dallas for a conference way back in the early 80s and remember thinking that same thing about the reflective buildings. At that time we actually hadn’t yet seen any other ‘glass buildings — we were fascinated. Even toured one.
Cool shot!
That is one awesome capture!
Absolutely beautiful with a nostalgic touch:) Happy Easter to you and yours!
Great shot, it looks like a fantasy movie.
Super shot. Odd enquiry from me but is there a memorial to mark the spot where Kennedy was assassinated or is it something the Dallas people prefer not to make into a “tourist hotspot”?
Nice picture !
Great capture and reflection! Have a happy Easter!
Wonderful photography in Dallas for SWF ~ very creative ~ xoxo ~ Happy Weekend ~ xoxo

@LeedsLass – yes there is a memorial but on the whole I think the people of Dallas seem to wish that he had been murdered somewhere else.
I like this shot… glad you had your iPod with you!
Love the drama of this.
For me, it looks dramatic too.

Very nicely done Yogi. Yep, Dallas that it’s share of reflective structures, for sure.
An eerie shot.
What a terrific image, very dramatic. I like the grainy texture, the strong colour and contrasting building styles – all this snapped on your Ipod!
That is an amazing shot. The red courthouse is where I spent one of the happiest days of my life…no, not getting married…getting divorced. I danced all the way back to my car. 🙂
VERY dramatic!!
And, Yogi, I like the cat’s eyes in your post prior to this one.
Nice contrast with the older brick buildings on the right.
Looks like rain!
Blinded by the light.
