Macro
This isn’t a true macro but the redbuds are blooming and so I’m using this.
Wheels
I have a cheap digital camera that I absolutely love. One of its features is that it has no shutter. When you press the button the sensor gets scanned so what you get is the Lartigue Effect on moving objects caused by the scan. That is why these wheels look cartoonish. A coworker of mine was driving and he passed literally about forty vehicles before I got this take. I love cheap cameras!!
Here is another example of the Lartigue effect of the same camera. Take a pic while weaving the camera down and you can make buildings shimmy.
Shiny
The Cox Convention Center here in Tulsa has shiny ceiling decorations.
Weather
Here in Oklahoma we really start watching the skies starting in April or so.
Favorite Sport
I’m a big Dallas Cowboys fan. So here is me with a couple of fellow Cowboys fans. I confess that I have posted this picture before, more than once, and I’ll post it again, probably several times.
I also like to run. I’m a pretty slow runner. Well, that is a lie. I would have to speed up quite a bit to be slow. I like the longer races, but not too long, 10K, 15K, and half marathons are my speed. I run with my camera and stop and take pictures. These are the Lululemon ladies who take their signs to various races in Tulsa. I love the smarty alecky tone of the signs.
Also, it is birthday time for me!!!! Thank you loyal readers. You put up with a lot is what I think. I appreciate all of you!! C’mon over, have some cake. The cheerleaders and the Lululemon Ladies will be here also.
Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Happy, Happy Birthday to begin with!! Hope you have a wonderful day with all the good things!! Love your variety of pics for the day as always!!
Happy BDay to you!
ps Post the cheerleaders as many times as you like. Won’t hear this guy protesting.
Happy Birthday! How many days of celebration this year. I still have 49 more days to go according to your way of celebrating.
Happy Birthday!
Mmm, I’d love a piece of that cake. Hope your birthday is a happy one.
The wavery buildings photo is very cool. The Oklahoma skies are lovely, too. But I guess it’s getting to be tornado time, a good reason to keep an eye on the sky.
Happy Birthday
I love the wavy way that camera works. I want one!
I didn’t scroll down far enough and thought you’d not bothered with Scavenger Hunt – “oh me of little faith” – I should have known better. Love those wheels and shaky building PLUS I’ve said “happy birthday” in your next story but, here goes, happy birthday Alan yet again.
I REALLY like that wheels image. Okay, I’m a Dallas Cowboy fan too, but I’ve never gotten that close to those other fans. Nice work, if you can get it.
Happy b’lated b’day! You are so creative and clever with your Scavenger Hunt posts; I look forward to reading them.
I live in CA, and I always watch the sky – love the clouds.
Happy Happy Day!
Happy birthday! I’m impressed with anyone who can run, no matter how slowly. Great illusion of motion with the wheels shot.
