Sunday afternoon we talk a family walk to the Mary K. Oxley Nature Center here in Tulsa, OK.
Even though it has been a dry year, there is lots of water at the Nature Center.
They have lakes, ponds, and sloughs there.
They also have lots of trails, a boardwalk, a few blinds, and an observation tower to view it all.
As a bonus Sweetie found a snake skin. I flubbed the focus on the pic.
It was a great afternoon.
Such a pretty area to roam and the snake skin is a great bonus. I have never found a snake skin so I’m more than a tad jealous. 🙂
What a lovely place to spend some quiet/family time! Wonderful to get away from the city and enjoy the natural beauty! I’ve never found a snakeskin either and like EG I’m more than a tad jealous, too! Hope your week is off to a great start!

Wait, you “talk a family walk”? Well aren’t you fancy.
And as soon as I would have spotted that snake skin, I would have high-tailed it outta there. I can’t do snakes.
Thanks for the amble Yogi, such a peaceful place for a walk.
Such diverse water ways. And the snake skin was an almost discovery. Always nice to go along.
Looks like a very beautiful and peaceful place. With that snake skin, I think the snake can’t be far away. Yikes!
A snake skin is no big deal unless the snake is wearing it. 🙂 The Oxley center is a nice place. Sue and I have not been out there in a long time. We need to remedy that. Nice pics. IIs SPB taller than his mom now? He is a growing boy.
Fascinating discovery, so glad we only have grass snakes and adders in the UK – nothing that size I’m pleased to say.
SPB always holds himself so well when he stands/sits next to his Mum.
@LeedsLass – I wish we didn’t have poisonous snakes either. Snakes are essential to the environment but Great Britain seems to be doing just fine without poisonous ones.
