I went to Oklahoma City yesterday to see a customer. I took the opportunity to check out the Devon Tower. It is topped out and will be ready for occupancy early next year.

It certainly stretches high into the sky, something I never associate with Oklahoma.
Is this a condominium? This is too high for me lol!! Happy Friday!

Kidding.
Good for them!
Interesting structure, but you wouldn’t catch me living there.
Nor me, what if you lived three quarters of the way up and the lift broke, my oh my.
I also wonder at the cost of the maintenance? I live in a small apt. and the maintenance is quite high. You will gather, this type of living is not for me.
Awesome building, but if it is an apartment building, I pretty much feel the same way as the others — I love my fifth floor apartment, but no further up, please!! And it doesn’t look exactly like “an Okie” building! Terrific capture and reflections! Enjoy your weekend!

I know the view will be spectacular up there on the top floors, but I would never be able to handle the height. I know it is constructed to withstand winds, but it looks to me like it could fall over easily. Great shot. You gave us an awful lot to look at in this one image. genie
The Devon Tower is going to be the new headquarters for Devon Energy a big independent oil and gas production company based in Oklahoma City.
Dang my britches, and there we were all thinking it was for occupancy by tenants! We can all sleep better in our beds tonight removing those worrying thoughts of height-living problems:-)
Please note the Americanism creeping into my text – perhaps too much blogging entering my brain? Over here I might have used the expression “Bloody Norah” but thought it might offend! Not a clue who “Norah” is nor why she should be bloodied and bowed – simply an expression of exasperation or surprise.
