I was in Wichita, Kansas a few weeks ago and spent an afternoon at their beautiful Pawnee Prairie Park.
It has miles of trails and is very secluded. It has lots of white-tailed deer and they were out and about.
They seem to have a good home there, lots of grass, water, and cover and not many people to bother them.
Oh, they are SO beautiful! Love the little one! Great captures! Places like that are so much fun to visit! Enjoy your day!

Great pictures, such a beautiful animal.
Looks like a beautiful place to get close to nature.
Deer are such wonderfully graceful creatures – lucky you to catch a glimpse.
They are such delightful beings, so gentle and elegant, thanks for sharing…
Nice captures, Yogi. I really like the first one with the deer almost hidden.
Gorgeous animals! You’re so lucky to have them nearby.
How sweet and beautiful. I swear these animals are angels.
Boy, were you quick on the shutter or else those deer were moving slowly. Great captures. I need to post the ones I caught eating away without a care in the world that I took the week we were at the beach. It was the first time I have ever come up on 3 deer who could have cared less about me standing there with my camera. This are great shots. Have a happy photo filled week. genie
Lovely photos! I just love to sit back and watch deer. They are such graceful animals.
There are still some spots on that fawn. I think these are a much prettier color than our mule deer, at least they seem so in these shots.
Seriously, when are you going to spend a day in Kingman? I’m sure you’d find lots to blog about. Um…not really.
Is it my imagination or are deer more common than they used to be? I used to think they were only out in the wee hours of the morning and at dusk.
You caught them in wonderful poses – hiding, jumping, Mama trying to stay alert. Nice shots!
Thanks for stopping by my post earlier this week. 🙂
Haven’t seen deer here for a month!
