We went out to Western Oklahoma to visit Sweetie’s family last weekend. Out there, the sun burns hot and bright during the day.
Everybody looks forward to the sunset.
SuperPizzaBoy decided it was cool enough finally to come out for a swim.
How hot has it been where you are?
We haven’t hit 100 yet but we have had days when the temp and the humidity were in the 90’s. That can be brutal. Those folks around Lawton have had 100+ for over 30 days now. That is just unbearable. Come on autumn!
That last picture is so neat! It’s hot where we are most of the time. 😉
I can empathize because I’ve lived in Texas and I feel almost guilty telling you that we’ve had gorgeous, cloudless blue skies and our high for the day barely reached 80 degrees! I love it! Wish I could send you some cool breezes! Stay cool!

I was so busy thinking about the weather, I forgot to tell you how gorgeous your skies are — in spite of the heat!!!
Nice sunset. SPB has the right idea with his evening swim. I have been spending my mornings outside potting plants for the new pergola and come in feeling roasted.
Out temps have been about the same as yours.
I’ve been meaning to ask you – have you read “Tulsa’s Haunted Memories” by Teri French?
Such a big sky to display sunset. I would be in the pool all day.
Here, high 77 today with 50% chance of T-storms. Trying to send them your way.
@Oklahoma Granny – No I hadn’t read it yet. I just ordered it from our library though.
The pool is so inviting.
Great shots.
Gorgeous sky shots. It does look hot there.
Love these pics, Yogi! (Esp of SPB in the pool.) It’s wonderful here in the Mts – cool and sunny with some evening rain.
Here in MI I think we had 76F. Not bad at all time anyway to go to the beach and enjoy the summer. ^_^ Happy Weekend!
Sky Watch Friday
SPB knows how to do it! Those are amazing photos. I am learning that hot means different things in different places.
They are truly awesome sky photos, the sun looks so incredibly big, like it is almost not even real.
SPB made me feel cold as was swimming around, here it is gas fire weather, alas the Australians had not caught on to central heating and my house is b*#@%ing freezing, oh to be warm enough to swim………..
that top one just looks HOT.
Nice photos…from hot to cool n refreshing!
In Maine, summer has started… 80’s. Nice.
Ooooooooo, nice pics!! 🙂
absolutely stunning photos!
love all of them, especially the first one.
happy weekend!

We’ve been in the 80s and 90s which is hot for CO. Our monsoon season has finally started so the evenings are nice and cool. Great pictures!
What lovely shots!
It’s hot hot hot here too.
Ha! SPB won’t have to worry about a sunburn if he chooses to swim in the dark!
Not nearly hot enough here for me…It’s going to be 90 tomorrow though! YAY!
Beautiful shots–bright sunny day–lovely golden sunset to enjoy. Mickie 🙂
Pretty sunset. I really like the pool picture.
Low 80’s and rainy here this week. All the heat must’ve gone east.
England would love just a few degrees of warmth you are “suffering” from! Our summer happened in April!!!
