Catching Light – Leftover Lilies

Leftover Easter Lillies - Topaz Glow Liquify I

I was taking my lunchtime walk around downtown and came upon these plants sitting on the steps of Holy Family Cathedral. What caught my eye and what I like the best is the foil.  I have no idea why they were there. Truth is I don’t know that they are Easter Lilies or not. I mean it has been a while since Easter. So what do you think dear reader? Lily or something else? Cast out or just letting them get a little sun or left for somebody else to pick up?

I need some answers before I go crazy!

My church often offered potted plants that were no longer in bloom to keep on the altar to parishioners to take home and plant. I do believe there were lilies and they were left out for those that wanted them. 🙂

I definitely read all the comments this time — to make sure you wouldn’t have to go crazy. I think you got plenty of good help. I like the magic one the best. Maybe you should go back and see if there is one left — although you immortalized them beautifully without the mess of replanting~

They’ll make such pretty gifts, of that I’m sure.
And you have a very impressive picture. I’m sure of that too.

Thank you for visiting my ‘catching light’ entry last week. So sorry I couldn’t return the visit. I was on the road. 🙂
