Tulsa Boat Show 2018

i went through this boat. I think it was 43′ long and cost about $800,000. It was nice!!

I  took a little longer lunch the other day and went to the 2018 Boat Show  at the River Spirit Expo at Expo Square (aka the Tulsa State Fairgrounds). It costs ten bucks to get in and I gave the ticket lady ten ones and she asked if I was buying and I held up my two remaining greenbacks and said, yep, if I find one for two bucks I’m getting it. Kind of lame, but she got a good chuckle out of it.

I like looking at the big boats and the fancy RV’s. They have gotten very good over the years with space organization, amenities and storage space.

The pontoon boats have gotten bigger and more luxurious.

I love these fishing boats with the center console. Didn’t use to see too many away from the cost but there seems to be more and more of them.

The small campers are getting lighter and nicer. I know several families with small kids that have these and use them quite a bit.

This is like the sports car of boats. So sleek and I think the price was only about $75,000 or so.

I love looking at motorcycles. I think Indian makes some very stylish bikes. They are beautiful and so sleek and stylish.

And they make the best logo ever.

I saw a lot of retro colors. It used to be just beige, red, and navy blue. Now you see colors reminiscent of the 1950 Tbirds.

The smaller boats used to be dominated by bass boats but things seem more diversified now. Bass boats are kind of fun. I used to have one when I lived near Lake Conroe near Houston, Texas. Big motors, and the platforms and chairs where you have good visibility, and a trolling motor for fine tune control, live wells for the fish and rod cabinets. They were fun.

Anyways I there less than an hour and although I saw a lot, there was a lot of other stuff. If you want to go they are open Saturday 10 am to 10 pm and Sunday 11 am to 5 pm.  (Yeah, you don’t want to spend the Superbowl at the boat show).

2017 Tulsa Boat Show

Saturday morning after my haircut I drove to the Tulsa State Fairgrounds to see the Tulsa Boat Show. Lots and lots of boats.

I stepped up to MarineMax’s area to look around and a real nice salesman, Wes asked me about my camera and what I do with the photos. I showed him my blog on my cell phone and he seemed very interested and told me to take as many photos as I wanted to. So I did. They have some very nice upper end boats.

Deluxe accomodations and fixtures.

And even a separate space below for the kids, or the crew, or for guests.

The bathroom was kind of small so I couldn’t get everything but I liked the sink. Anywho, if I ever get a gazillion dollars and a hankering for a nice boat I am going to see Wes at MarineMax. A really nice guy.

There were all kinds of boats there.

Huge outboard motors. These are taller than I am.

I love the bass fishing boats. I used to have a lot smaller version when I lived near Lake Conroe in Texas. They feature platform seating like above and an electric trolling motor so you can work your way along whatever feature you are fishing. Lots and lots of fun.

Pontoon boats are popular. They can be great for puttering around on the lake.

There were some gigantic RV’s. Tulsa doesn’t have an RV show any longer so they horn in on the boat show This unit is beautiful. I have no idea how one would drive that down the road, or really how you park this thing.

it does have an out door television.

Inside is nice with nice furnishings and a fireplace.

Big kitchens,

Nice bedrooms

Large bathrooms. Yes, this one had two.

This is more my speed.

I love the little ATVs.

This is my favorite. A retro look trailer. This is like what our family of five camped in when I was a kid. Kind of cramped but you know having a dry place is nice when it is raining when you are camping. I’ve seen some miserable people trying to cook on a Coleman stove when it is raining.

Our World – Nothing Like a Boat Show

SuperPizzaBoy and I went to the Tulsa Boat, Sport, and Travel Show here in Tulsa on Saturday.

There were all sorts of boats big and small on display there.

Plush and Roomy

SPB found one that he liked.

They had lots and lots of boat motors.

SPB met up with his buddy Patrick from SpongeBob SquarePants. Are you familiar with the show? Do you like it? If you do, then I am worried about you.

In case you think that you are missing something here is a video.

I don’t get it either.

We found some sport personal watercraft.

And little tug a lugs to haul hay out to your cows.

SPB liked the trailers. They had the economy models like above.

We liked the luxury models with fireplaces, indoor and outdoor televisions and kitchens.

Have you been to a boat show lately?
