Sweetie is decorating the house for Christmas. One of the most important decorations is the Nativity Scene.
“When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.”
Luke Chapter 2 verses 15-19 (NIV)

The nativity scene is the only essential part of Christmas, but commercialism so often pushes it into the background. Thanks for the reminder.
We have several Nativities. Last year there were 11 on display in our home, some large, some small but all representing the true reason for the season.
I feel the very same way as Janie and, yes, thanks for the reminder! Hope you all have a beautiful day!

This is a perfect way to set the mood for the season. Well done, Yogi!
The Nativity is indeed the center piece of the season. Thank you for sharing yours with us.
It’s what the season is all about. I set my Nativity out yesterday, right after we decorated the tree.
Have a great week.

Oh that is a pretty one! A lovely reminder–thanks!
Thanks to Nana, we have this beautiful nativity set now! Along with the gorgeous buffet/server that it sets on.
Love this one. I just bought Courtney a Precious Moments nativity to give her for Christmas. That way she will have it with her when she moves out some day. She will move out some day, won’t she?!? LOL!
