From the Japanese Gardens of the Fort Worth, Texas Botanical Gardens. It was 105 degrees the day we visited early this month. We were looking for all the shade we could get.

I really like this picture, I can feel the sun burning through the leaves! Got any ice tea? 🙂

Love this sky. Beautiful!
Happy SWF.

Definitely ice tea time! Terrific capture, love your composition and the colorful tree! Hope you have a great weekend! Stay cool! Hopefully it isn’t as hot in Oklahoma — not much chance of that I guess!

The leaves look so pretty with light shining from behind them! It’s been unbearably hot here too.
It is the time of year for hot. Triple digits are forecast here. That means its time to retreat to higher elevation. You don’t have much of that in OK.
Those little Japanese Maples don’t provide much shade. They are pretty though. Red foliage all summer. Stay cool my friend.
Oh, I love shade. Shade and an icy glass of water and a bucket of cold water for my feet and a good book.
It’s hot here in southern New Mexico, too, of course. We’re starting to see clouds gathering in the afternoon which means monsoon season is coming soon! Hurray!
The other night it was too hot for even a sheet and I was awakened by rain drops blowing in on my feet. Lovely!
Yogi, thank you for this fine leafy shot (inspiring, as you can tell) and thank you for voting for my photos. I’m just learning and it took some nerve to enter the contest, with all those beautiful professional-looking shots.
Awesome photo, I would be looking for shade too.
Yogi: Way too hot for me, nice shot through the maple. I love your header.
Great shot.

Are those Japanese maples? I love them! It is hot here too, but seldom do we get to triple digits!
Iced cold water and some shade is what we need!
Stay cool!
What a pretty shot! Lovely.
The sun can come through the leaves and make you hot. Right now, it is winter here, and I guess after the cold, we appreciate the warmth.

Love your picture – everyone has said what it conjures up. Super.
Beautiful SkyWatch photo
Have a nice weekend
Nice capture of the sun against the tree. Happy weekend!
SWF~Tell me~
105 in June?! That is hot!
Lovely photo of the colorful leaves. I hope they provided a little shade…
Cracking shot Yogi!! You’re obviously smarter that the average bear!! LOL!!
It’s super hot in France too, above 30C. I don’t complain, even though we are sweating like little Canadian pigs!
