The other night Sweetie and I left SuperPizzaBoy in the able care of Jen the SuperBabySitter and headed downtown to the BOK Arena to see Michael Buble in his first American appearance of his Nordstroms Crazy Love Tour.
We saw him a couple years ago at the Performing Arts Center. He had a great show. Sweetie really liked it. This time it was like ok, Sweetie wants to go so lets go. I am glad we did. He really wowed me and about 14,000 other people. I loved it. He sang his old ones and his new ones and they were great.
He is really funny also. He has a kind of self deprecating cockiness too him that is very appealing.
We were sitting pretty well back so I had trouble getting good photographs.
I had never seen a performer connect with an audience like he did. He is a great singer of course but he has that something else that brings everybody together. So, anyway I’m a true believer now.
Here is a review of the concert by the Tulsa World.
The review talks about the last song was “Song for You” written by Tulsa’s own Leon Russell. What the review doesn’t say is that Buble sang the last half of the song without a microphone and without the band. You ever see anybody do that in an arena of 14,000?
If he comes to your town, scrape up the bucks for the tickets and go see him.
Sounds like a great concert! I wish he would come here, but we tend to get concerts geared more toward the college crowd.
So cool. I love him, thanks for sharing the video. The last concert I went to was Michael Bolton, isn’t that sad?
I’m super jealous! I so wanted to go to that concert, but had just gotten home from California, so it was a no-go this time around. But I love him–and he’s super cute! Glad you had a good time!
I saw him last time in Tulsa and loved it! I’m pretty sure MB just hasn’t met ME yet. Just sayin’.
I’m glad you made his concert and shared it with us. Sue and I like to listen to the KWGS Big Band program on Saturday evenings and always enjoy his songs. He is a great crooner the likes of which there are not many any more. We would have enjoyed it but couldn’t afford (read: were too cheap too buy) tickets. Glad you enjoyed it.
we watch him on TV. New Zealand is too small and too far for him
I just told my Hubby – if he comes to Denver – Get tickets!
