After our visit to the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, we drove to the Pensacola pier for lunch and sightseeing.
Beautiful skies, almost too beautiful. We were eating outside and the restaurant asked us to move inside. There were two storms headed toward us.
Both of them missed us but I took photos of the resulting skies. I’m not afraid of rain, I am really afraid of lightning though so I was careful. Hear it fear, see it flee it is my motto.
Nothing like a good storm coming through for energy and clean air.
I’m linking with Skywatch Friday.
…sunsets over water are twice as nice!
Lucky the storms missed you and resulted only in these eerily beautiful skies!
Stunning pre-storm pictures. There are lightening strike deaths every year in Florida — your motto is a good one. It’s nothing to take chances with. … We stayed one season near Mobile and drove across the state line to Pensacola often. Some beautiful beaches, good restaurants .. I love eating with a water view! and we also visited the Aviation Museum (in your post below) Fun memories.
I wanted to let you know I loved your sunrise memories over on SWF and your musings on changes made since your retirement made me smile! Thanks f or hosting that meme!
Wow, dramatic and beautiful skies! The lighting in the last photo is quite amazing.
It’s a little cooler now in Florida – enjoy your trip!
Nice skies!
Top shots.
I’m used to storms and lightening since I’ve lived in Florida for almost 40 yrs But… people have been known to get struck by lightening in Florida on a clear sunny day.
Lovely sky photos.
Coffee is on and stay safe.
Brilliant shots!
Gorgeous photos. Very smart to be mindful of lightening. It can strike without warning.
Bellas imagenes mi preferida la segunda. Te mando un beso.

Happy Friday, Yogi!
Marvelous shots of dramatic skies!

Beautiful skies, I especially love the last stormy sky shot.

Great sky photos!
Have a blessed day!
You’re right, some of those photos do make the sky look almost too beautiful! Those kite fliers have better have moved indoors too.
wow! exceptional images!
The last picture is amazing even if i like them all
Having been through enough Florida storms (I lived in Tampa for nearly two years) I have a healthy respect for them, especially the lightning. Having said that, they make for great photos and you got some fantastic ones. Loved, especially, the second and the last picture.
Wonderful clouds! A little bit dramatic at sky!
Happy weekend!
Those were some amazing skies!
I love waking up early, which just happened after I quit work! No alarm clock necessary too 🙂
You took some stunning photographs while having lunch at the Pier. The fourth image is unbelievable! Have a Happy Halloween!
