I took a bike ride along the Arkansas River and found these geese swimming in a backwater of the river.
I took a walk at Tulsa’s Lafortune Park and found these two geese grazing.
And on the other side of the park I saw these geese resting.
And this mallard duck paddling around.
A dove sitting on a fence at the park. Dove are the ideal critter models. They generally stay put if you don’t get too close.
And a moose sculpture near a pond.
And not too far away, this sculpture of a mother bison with a red dog (bison calf) stay on her heels.

Beautiful realistic sculptures! I am always amazed at the size of moose. We had one het lost in my neighborhood last summer and, happily, he found his way back up into the foothills without incident.
Those geese look well-fed. I’m surprised that they hang around all winter
I like ducks and geese, but never get near geese when they are nesting. They will bite.
Does Oklahoma have Moose?
It must be close to spring if the geese are on the move. I remember how mean the geese in Idaho Falls were when walking the greenbelt. Stay clear!

I love that moose! In Pendleton, OR they have similar sculptures to the bison, but cattle, cowboys on horseback and a border collie. Because they have a big annual rodeo there. Not much else to do there!
I thought it was real bison, at first.
I like how the dove stayed put for a photo op! The sculptures are interesting too.
My favorite birds are the ones that will hold still for photos )))
