We have a storm coming, ice. I hate ice. I can see it on the various weather maps inching closer. But I got photographs from last weekend. We went to Haikey Creek Park near Tulsa for a family outing. No ice that day.
Trees in the winter are beautiful. Pretty sky also.
Notice the moon?
SuperPizzaBoy rode his Triton. Off behind him is Sweetie and our two mutts.
Then we went to another park and did a little geocaching.
None of that right now. Now we are getting ready for a storm. The Governor declared an emergency yesterday before it even hit the state.
I’m having trouble convincing LJ of the seriousness of the situation. He doesn’t seem worried about it all. What do you think is wrong with him?
Check out other views of the sky at Skywatch Friday.
Gosh, they are tough to deal with: ice storms. I lived 10 days without power in Ice Storm ’98, we’ve just had snow squalls for 24 hrs My Muskoka !!
Hi Yogi, Storm passed through Denver on its way to Tulsa – get ready!!!! Tell LJ to batten down the hatches! (The second photo of the path through the park is my favorite.)
Yogi: Neat skies in these photos, make it through the ice storm safe my friend.
I love the trees! Good luck with the ice.

Even you are saying about ice, what you said, I invite you to look at my winter photos – a plenty of ice, hoar frost and snowa and they make very pretty phoos. I love snow and it`s fantastic to ski on the lake, which is covered by ice and so on. . four – five months every year.It is our life on these latitudes, not bad at all :)) (We live on same latitudes, which could go somewhere between Fairbanks and Anchorage.)
Sorry my mistakes, snowa = snow, phoos = photos
Good luck with the ice.
I agree trees in winter are interesting. Would like to see one in summer right now though! xo
Beautiful set of photographs. I love winter trees and that first one is such a beauty.
I find naked trees are especially pretty photo subjects.
That firt image knocked my socks off.
I can’t really say I have ever been in an ice storm! I do love the bare trees against the blue skies though…
Beautiful images of the trees against the blue sky.
Looks like LJ has the right idea! Stay cozy, and thank for sharing (and for visiting my blog, too).
Cute kitty. I also really like the single tree in the playground. It would be a nice photo to play with in different colors in photoshop.
Good luck with the ice storm. Your beautiful clear blue skies are probably the calm before the storm.
Beautiful blue sky shots.
Too bad we can’t all be like your kitty, worried about absolutely nothing! Pretty pics of trees and sky and fun in the park. Hope the ice storm isn’t too bad.
I love the way we freak out over the weather. So beautifully humbling. Great shots.
Yes, the trees are beautiful in the winter. They are metaphors for perseverance ~
And… cats are the best at teaching us how to relax and rest!
Take care in the storm!

He’s a cat with a perfect life and just like my three lol!
As you know I am also a lover of the winterised trees, you see so much more. Nice post.
I hope you don’t have to go anywhere and don’t lose your power. I’ve never delt with an ice storm but I have made it through several large earthquakes and found our RV came in handy.
Keep warm, stay safe.
Hope the storm doesn’t get too bad. Ice storms….something we just don’t have to worry about here in sunny CAL! I bet those beautiful trees will make great photo ops when they’re covered in ice!
I like seeing the leafless trees too. It’s the only time that their true architecture can be appreciated.
love the bare trees against the sky- nice photos!
Great skies and beautiful bare trees.
Nice outdoor with the family.
Enjoy the weekend.
love the trees and their wonderful textures
thanks for your visit to our daytrippers blog
Great pics! We’ve had a family party there before.
Great photos. Trees are always magical – with or without leaves, it doesn´t matter.
Happy skywatching:-)
