Skywatch Friday – After the Rain

Earlier this month I was at the Y taking a yoga class. When I went in, the weather was sunny. When I got out, the ground was soaked and the skies were full of clouds that had lots of rain still in them.

Looking South

Looking East

Looking West

We had had torrential rain. I drove home, about four miles and it was dry as a bone.

Full Buck Moon

We had a Full Buck Moon on July 10. Clear skies so I was able to get a halfway decent image of it.

Not my photo and I don’t own the copyright.

I started working Ipad jigsaws puzzles again. I have a very old Ipad and the app wouldn’t work because I needed to upload and install a new Operating System and it wasn’t working. Drove me crazy!! So I was googling like crazy and then I got on Microsoft’s Copilot AI and asked it how do I upgrade and it said just load itunes on your laptop and then plug in your ipad to the laptop and it will upgrade all by it’s lonesome. I did it and it worked!!

This AI deal is a little scary. I asked if it would take one of my photos and make a postcard out of it and it said sure, upload a photo, and tell Copilot what text I want on the card, what style a card and it would be happy to do it. So I haven’t done it yet. Maybe I’ll have one next week.

I hope that you are all okay!! Word is that ICE is supposed to hit Oklahoma hard starting today. So pray for all us Oklahomans.

I love days with big, fluffy clouds like this. Makes the photos so much prettier. I need to do a little experimenting with AI. It feels like one of those tech things that’s definitely not going away, so probably best to learn what we can.

    Hello,
We seem to get storms every afternoon. Pretty captures of the sky and the moon.
I have not used AI yet, not sure if I want to use it at all.
Take care, have a great day!

We finally had some good rainfall last night after a few weeks of intense lightning storms, but no rain!
I agree that AI photography and videos can be frightening;y realistic and a way to spread false information. The NY Times had a quiz where they showed about 10 photos/videos and asked if they were real or AI–they were very hard to discern. I was only half right!

We’ve had a lot of rainy days this summer. My garden is failing and I think it’s because of too much rain and too little sunshine. Your moon shots are always amazing. I might be crazy, but my sleep during a full moon is always restless.

Great sky shots! Sorry to hear about ICE. Doorbell cameras and trail cams might be useful to catch the cowards in action. They seem to like anonymity, and it should be denied them.

OMG, I wish ICE would stay far away from you. It’s scary out there. I’ll definitely be praying for you all. I do love all your cloud photos.

I’ve tried to stay clear of AI, but it’s increasingly difficult to do so and I have to admit the summaries on Amazon and other shopping sites that AI gives for reviews have helped me a lot. Really nice sky pictures also, especially the first one.

    Beautiful eloquent skies, Yogi

Yes, we are living through sort of unAmerican times. I don’t think anybody voted for their local hospital to close or for prices to go up. I pray for our country Aloha
