A “Moon Gate” to a trail system here in Tulsa. I think they are kind of cool. Like symbolically passing into another dimension. My hiking friend hates them and walks around them. This time I noticed afterward it made an oval shadow. If I was more on the ball I could have captured more of the oval than what I did.
And on the other side of the moongate, we got these shadows on the trail. This was the Thursday before the polar vortex and the temp was in the high 50’s.
Now it is about 7F and we have a few inches of snow. What a difference a day or two makes!
Stay warm folks!!
I am linking with Shadow Shot Sunday

…I LOVE the moon gate! Be warm and well.
I didn’t know they called them moon gates. No shadows here today. It’s snowing (light, fluffy) and I estimate about five inches so far. It’s supposed to get heavy soon. Alana ramblinwitham
the moon gate is such an interesting structure….and I can just about make out the oval shadow…great tree shadows too!
I love the moon gate and its shadow! Sorry about the snow, but it is pretty. Hope you’re taking a lot of photos to share!
I do like moon gates but I’ve never seen one in person, I feel like it should be in the middle of a forrest.
I love the moon gate. It almost looks like a relic from the past.
We got about 6-7″ of snow/sleet and temps dipped into single digits. Just staying home and warm until this too shall pass. Have a blessed week.
Beautiful sights and shadows captured.
