A sparrow on my backyard efeeder. I’ve finally figured out how to not feed squirrels. Habanero flavored bird food and safflower seeds seem to do the trick.

An Eastern Bluebird. So handsome!!
Another male cardinal singing at the top of a tree.

Hello Yogi,
What a great variety of wildlife photos. I love all the birds, the Bluebird is a favorite.
Love the cute turtle and your sweet Lizzy.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your day and happy weekend.
…your bluebird is special, I rarely see them.
Turtles are cute, people have them here as pets, have a great weekend.
wonderful sightings!! i think birdwatching is so peaceful…filled with so much joy when you are able to capture a snapshot and save it forever!!
The bluebird is indeed very handsome, and your trick for keeping the squirrels away is a clever.
I don’t think I could use that bird seed.
“Mammals, like gray squirrels, react to capsaicin, which evokes a pain-like sensation of burning and pain (we all know that feeling whenever we eat something too spicy for us to handle). ”
I throw out peanuts to keep the squirrels busy.
You have to be careful you don’t get it on your hands. I think of little squirrels getting it in their eye.

The bluebird is lovely!
I find squirrels entertaining and love to feed them along with the birds, but that is just me. It is so lovely that you have Bluebirds. They used to nest in a nest box I provided until House Sparrows took over. Now no bluebirds. Lizzy looks extremely comfortable.
Cats look so cute when they curl their paws!
I do like the Eastern Bluebird, and always a joy to see the Cardinal.
