I was at an oil and gas convention in Dallas last weekend. I don’t usually go by the booths, they are mostly software and service companies and I have a lifetimes supply of trinkets. We passed by one booth though. They have a product named “Navigator” and a “Savannah Cat” named Navigator also.
Navigator was one cool cat, he was also huge.
I found out on Wikipedia that Savannah Cats are a recent hybrid of the African Serval cat and a housecat. They are getting very popular. Maybe so, but I had never seen nor heard of them.
I guess I’ll have to check the convention booths more often. See what else I can see!
Hmm, wonder if they are large enough to keep racoon, opposum, and armadillo marauders out of my yard.
I think Sweetie and SPB need another pet.
That’s a beautiful cat, but I would wonder about their wild half and whether they would be reliably tame.
I’ve seen these cats. They are really big. I bet they cost a small fortune though. Dont think my short fat babies would take to having something that big in the house.
I have read about Savannah cats and think they are very interesting. No doubt they are beautiful exotic animals and would be fun to own. As I recall the second and third generation cats are a little more user friendly. Let me know when you get one. I would like to see it.
