This pic is from late November. Since then it has turned cold, really cold. At least what we here in Oklahoma consider to be cold. Plus it snowed. So I have been inside fighting off the kid and the dogs and cats for space in front of the hearth. So I have lots of pics of Christmas Trees and ornaments and such. Not much in the way of skies or anything like that.
Plus I went from a cubicle with a window to an inside office with lots of gas company beige. I am ashamed to say that I got so wrapped up in my napping work that I forget to look up and sunset time is over.
Generally, Wednesday night has been good Skywatch time for me because that is my weekly kitchen pass to go run. But with it getting dark at 5 pm and I don’t get off until 6 and don’t hit the river parks trail until 6:30 I am shuffling running in the dark now.
(However, last minute addition to the post. On my running last night, I did come across these Christmas trees on the river trails. They were a nice surprise.)
So sorry, I have no game this week, just a pic off my front porch as the sun was going down.
Skywatch Friday
now that is a good reason to go to work. wow wee!!
how else are men or/& women suppose to get around … brooms right? ha. ha!!! ( :
I don’t think it says anywhere in the Skywatch rules that the photo has to be taken in the same week it is posted. So, you can dig as far back in the archives as you like to get the photo you want. I really like the lighted trees in the last image.
Pretty dramatic skies in your first pics!! That snow does look cold!! Hope your week is going well — even if it is cold!! Stay warm, reserve a place by the heater!!
Gorgeous shots – love that red skyö
That’s a nice porch sunset. Shame you lost your glorious office view.
Wow!Very beautiful photos for SWF,Yogi! I like it all.Have a nice weekend.
I love those colorful skies.
A great contribution to SWF!
Whining is ok—we’ve all been there–haha!
Pics are good though. MB
What a view from your office, but it is now an old office? What a shame! Your scenic photos are gorgeous and I love the Christmas trees. Lovely series, have a happy weekend!
The sunsets are lovely, even though they are long past…
Arizona Sky
What a shame to have to leave that office view. Spectacular. I am always making banners from old book pages so I immediately caught the Joy to the World. Liked it.
A super series of pics here and enjoyed the night time shot of the Christmas Trees, also the Joy to the World decoration. Thank you for visiting my SWF post, loved the story of you being a bargain baby 🙂
Yogie ~ Beautiful series of photos ~ gorgeous skies and lovely Xmas trees decorated ~ thanks, carol, xxx
ps. sorry about the beige walls ~ don’t they realize people function better with ‘natural light’? ~ ^_^
I’m going to miss the views from your office window too Yogi! That second shot is marvellous!
Hi! Nice captures. Your sky photos and Christmas season photo are very beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
The skies you show are lovely and it’s OK to go back in your archives as far as I’m concerned. My sky is hardly ever of the current week, I don’t even usually get my camera downloaded until the week or two later. YOu are dedicated to continue to run after it gets dark so early! Easy to use that as an excuse to veg out.
Thanks for hosting SW!!!
The sky looks lovely. It’s a pity we can’t see the views from this window again. But it’s ok, that’s life -full of surprises.

I like the shot of the Christmas trees!
Nice skywatch, I take a lot of mine at work
amazingly beautiful photos !
Soon the daylight hours will stop getting shorter and begin getting longer!
That sunset is phenomenal! What a grave injustice, putting a Sky Watcher in a windowless office! (I used to work in one myself, in a basement, with 6 other woman. Hell on earth!)
Those trees are very festive and pretty, too! Can’t believe it’s still cold there… snowing and blowing here today, but supposed to warm to the 40s starting tomorrow! I’ll believe it when I feel it. 🙂
I think these are lovely!
Stay by the hearth! You have some great shots of the indoors and the outdoors. You guys have a beautiful tree.
It’s early to get dark at 5 pm. The sky in Singapore usually gets dark around 7 pm. Stay warm!
Such beautiful skies! I love the second shot but all are absolutely amazing!
Marvellous skies! I love them all, especially the blue one. I wish you a good time in front of the hearth and hope it will not be to cold.
Gosh, I seem to have missed so many posts (I’ve been under the weather). Do you know that expression? Rotten to have to spend your day in a windowless office – have you been downgraded in the office hierarchy? Love the way you Americans go so over the top with your Christmas decorations – wish we could lose some of our inhibitions.
@Leedslass – sorry to hear that you have been under the weather. I wish you a full and speedy recovery.
And no I hadn’t been downgraded, yet. My office before with the window was actually a cubicle. It had a great view. They thought I needed my own space so now I have a private office, on the interior. I like the more room and privacy but I miss my view. I go and borrow my old window from time to time.
