This has been the year for Christmas Parties for the Yogi family. We have had several. Some years we don’t have any. Last weekend we journeyed down to Nana’s house to attend her Christmas Party. A good time was had by all. For me the best part of a party is when most everybody is gone except for a few. Then you can do things that are hard to do during the party.
Here is a picture of the “remnant.” Time for the post party!
Time to make, and drink, chocolate martinis. Sweetie is getting good at them. Note the “real” half and half. Lots and lots of fat grams!
And I can put on my favorite and most comfortable shoes. Sweetie hates them. I don’t think that Nana likes them too much either. But they are very comfortable. You can get your pair here.
A dog breeder friend of Nana’s brought over a $2300 maltese puppy. Sweetie fell in love with it. Made me kind of nervous. She gave it back though. Sweetie is going to make do with our two mutts.
Post Post party photo. Where is SuperPizzaBoy? He might have been taking the picture. Notice my favorite hat. A Dallas Cowboys Santa Hat. Sweetie gave it to me so I wouldn’t wear my Antlers Bearcats hat. She doesn’t show any pride in her school so I have to wear the hat. Except now I have my Cowboys hat.
LOL! I’m sorry but I have to side with Sweetie and Nana. I have never in my life seen shoes like that. Are you sure they are comfortable? 🙂
I’m going to have to side with Sweetie and Nana also. Those are a little disturbing.
Those have got to be the freakiest pair of shoes I’ve ever seen! LOL!!
Looks like you all had a great time.
This is one of those years we didn’t attend any Christmas parties. Kind of sad.
Oh, I did’t realize Maltese pups were so expensive!! Good thing Sweetie didn’t fall completely in love!
Take it easy on my shoes folks. They are very comfortable and stylish too!
I am worried though if Irritated thinks they are disturbing then I’m in trouble.
That’s true Yogi. You’ve read the stuff I’ve written, and if I find something disturbing, well…
I guess that I’m going to have to go home and put on the shoes and try and drown my disturbance.
I’m bringing them to work Monday. I have a pact with a coworker who also owns toe shoes. We have looked over the policy book carefully. Nothing precludes us from wearing them at work.
Those are some wild house slippers. Ask your wife for the recipe for the chocolate martini. Sounds really good.
Here is Sweetie’s recipe.
Chill the martini glass in the freezer.
Fill martini shaker with ice and add
one jigger of vanilla vodka
one jigger of creme de cocao
two jigger of half and half
drizzle chocolate syrup on inside of martini glass in sworl pattern
Shake up mixture of vodka, creme de cocao, and half and half with ice in a martini shaker
strain into glass.
sounds easy enough. Thank your wife for me.
