I love this time of year for a number of reasons but a big reason is that the sun is still up during my Wednesday evening “kitchen pass” run so I can run for a while and take photographs for a little while. I’m trying to get ready for my 20th consecutive Tulsa Run 15 kilometer race in late October, plus I am going to see if I have one more half marathon in me for in November, so I’m starting to build up mileage and there is no prettier place to do that than along the Arkansas River in Tulsa.
Soon enough I’ll be running in the dark. That happens when you are as old, fat, and slow as me, but hey I’m still in race.
Wonderful sunset along the river,Yogi!Fantastic photo and colours.Have a nice weekend!
Kudos to you for staying in the race.
Beautiful view from your river run.
What an incredible, glorious sky and what a breathtaking way to end a day — any day!! You’re not old, slow or fat, just a mellow runner!! Enjoy!
Magnificent view. Have a nice weekend.
I applaud you for running in those races Yogi, you are an inspiration. Beautiful photo too.
That is a really beautiful shot, Yogi.
Beautiful reflective sunset. Good for you for continued running at any pace!
I do not even attempt a bike ride or walk in the late Summer as my also old, fat self does not wish to perish in the heat.
I take my walks at night and rides at sunset if and when it cools down!
Congrats for still running, Yogi. And double congrats for remembering to take your camera. 🙂
Good for you for keeping up the running…o.. that sunset might be enough to motivate me! I love long evenings to
man, oh, man that’s gorgeous!!!
Wow! gorgeous view.
LOL – kudos to you. And this shot is stunning.
Absolutely wonderful sky shot. Beautiful color in your photo. Have a nice weekend. Mickie 🙂
What a stunning sky and such fabulous colour. You simply don’t understand the meaning of the words “old” and “fat” – when used to describe you, it should be “virile”, “healthy” and “in the prime of life”. You can send the “thank you” cheque directly to my bank:-)
Least you are running, somthing I don’t do but from the look it was worth itto take the photo.
a golden sunset.
Stunning!!!
The colors are incredible and your photography exquisite ~ thanks, carol, xo
Beautiful!
I do hope you are on a walking/bike trail and not running in the road. A friend of mine was killed by a drunk driver as she walked in the street near her home.
Hope the race goes well for you.

If I had this kind of view, I’d never get any running done at all. Good luck.
Absolutely amazing shot! What a wonderful color your sky has! Great!
Gorgeous sunset and reflection! Lovely photo, have a happy weekend!
Still in the race is right! Beautiful sunset.
A really pretty sky, great colors. And good luck on your 15K!
Keep on running. 🙂
A beautiful image of the sunset. I love the reflection from the water captured.
Good luck with your Tulsa Run 15 kilometer race. Meanwhile have a wonderful weekend.

Wow, that’s so beautiful it looks like a greeting card or magazine cover! I can’t tell if that’s the beginning or the end of a day, but it looks like it was a hot one. Even the water looks warm. Love that reflection of the sun!
I wouldn’t/couldn’t run 15K if I had a pack of rabid dogs chasing me! I’d have better luck getting them to roll over and get their bellies rubbed. 🙂 Kudos to you, I hope you enjoy both a successful training and final run!
Absolutely gorgeous shot! I need to venture to the Arkansas River near Arkansas City – I hear there are some pretty spots there. We’ve been watching it rise the last few weeks as we’ve been deluged with rain – it was interesting to watch the sand bars disappear!!
As far as running, I’m in awe of all those who run in races (my sister, my brother, my father)…. I’m not one of those people. You have my admiration!
absolutely gorgeous!
That’s a beautiful sunset to watch while running or doing anything else.
