It is the weekend and that means it is time for Ashley Sisk’s Scavenger Hunt Sunday! So lets get going.
Vacation
We’ve booked our condo on the Redneck Riviera so Gulf of Mexico here we come this summer! Ah, the sights, the sounds, the smells of the ocean, and nonstop chatter about Alabama football, Lynyrd Skynyrd, beer cans popping, and thousand and thousands of cigarettes! It’s all good natured and the people are fun and there is lots of space for everybody. We just have to get upwind of the smokers is all.
Food(s)
I love raw fish. I know that’s weird but I love it. And nobody steals bites from my plate, not in Oklahoma anyway.
Sound
Eddie Van Halen playing the guitar, David Lee Roth Singing. That’s some sound. Beats the crap out of Lynyrd Skynyrd any day. In my opinion. No whining in the comments please, give it to me straight.
Texture
An old wall in southeast Oklahoma.
Anything
Groovy, Peace Baby, Mellow Out, Space Out, Hang Loose, Give Me Five, Hang Five, Free Love, Hands of my Chick Dude. Sorry, Anything means Anything.

Eddie VH an idiot for dumping the fetching Valerie B. Love Van Halen. w/ DLR.
Oh, the 1960s! If you remember it, you probably weren’t there. Your photos are far out, man.
Great photos! Love that last shot and you and my son love raw fish. I like fish but cooked 😉
LOVE IT. Your Scavenger Hunt and Bill Miller’s Wednesday Doors – both favourites of mine.
I know you’re writing “groovy” but it does make it difficult for this old girl to understand LOL. Queen’s English please Yogi.
The beach sounds like fun, if you can avoid the smoke fumes.
No way I’d steal your raw fish. Yuck.
Love the hippie couple.
Lovely shots – I like the texture of that wall.
Actually, I lived that hippy era Yogi – “Love not War!” The texture is just great.
I remember your “anything” picture from before; loved it then, still do (reminds me of home — our other one, in Oregon!…come there mid-July for Veneta’s country fair. Bring those costumes.
The sushi and ceviche look wonderful. Our fav supermarket here in Ft Myers has an on-site sushi maker; how cool is that!
This is fun! I wonder if sushi is ever served on the Redneck Riviera!
@Birdman – I’m with you. I love VH with DLR also. Different band without.
@Leedslass – I dig you.
@Sandy – I think on the redneck riviera the sushi is used as fishbait.
Vacation sounds good, minus the smokers. No thanks to the raw fish. Can’t beat good rock-n-roll. Love the textured wall and of course seeing you old hippies. Everything seems to go together pretty good, well except for the wall.
Good job making the Scavenger Hunt finds personal, Yogi! Looks like you enjoy life.

Great! That last one is a real winner! Love it! You two are super groovy. :))
Fun post.
Okay raw fish (not for me) and sorry but I prefer Lynrd over Eddie but hey to each their own.
Got a kick out of the last shot, Far out!
These are great! The waves look so relaxing. You’re right, no one would probably steal your raw fish! Haha, ick!
Lynyrd and Eddie were okay, but I think I would opt out for ZZ top.
Love the “Lennon Lenses” on the two of you. I’m not sure that the “dreds” are working for me though. Have a great week.
The splashing wave is wonderful, but then so is that delicious looking raw fish and your costumes! Take me back to the 60s and 70s!
Awwww, vacation and beach…love those two words together! Have fun.
The vacation sounds wonderful, but you need to stop with the raw fish especially in OK. There’s not an ocean anywhere near OK so how fresh can that fish be? Gross!
I always enjoy your scavenger hunts, Yogi! I love your sense of humour.
