At a local cemetery in a section reserved for veterans. There is a funeral home on the grounds whose phone number differs from ours by one digit. We have had several phone calls over the years from some really sad sounding people.

love all the flying flag. looks like rain.. . . ( :
Wonderfully cloudy!
Oh dear, I’m sure it must be very hard to pick up the phone and find a grieving person on the other end.
An overcast day makes the colours pop!
Difficult for you with those incoming calls but I’m sure you have a reassuring voice, helping the callers. I do love photographs of flags.
I like the way the flag looks against the sky. That would be sad to get wrong number calls from people in grief.
It would be terrible if got them because usually when I get wrong number calls people say, who’s this, and I reply to whom would you like to speak in a chilly voice. I’d feel awful if I was like that with someone in pain. I guess my attitude with most of the wrong number people is that they called me and it’s up to them to identify themselves but I fear I’m becoming an old fogey.
I don’t think I have ever seen so many flags at a cemetery before.
That must be annoying after awhile, lovely pic.
I didn’t realize that Floral Haven was reserved for veterans. Nice post.
@G.W. Bill Miller – It is just a specific section for veterans not the whole facility.
Looks like Seattle skies!! Well, not today, we’re having sunny afternoons. Love the flags against the sky, somehow the gray skies seem appropriate for the place.
Love ‘scooping’ look to sky and of course the flags are heart rendering ~ sorry you got that phone # ~ Enjoy.
The sight of that huge flag flying high against the backdrop of the blue sky gives me goosebumps. I grew up in a very patriotic family where we always put our hands over our hearts for the playing of the National Anthem. I still feel that way today at 74. genie

That moody sky and blowing flag are quite the composition.
Those clouds make a wonderful background for the flag!
Have a great Friday!

Beautiful flag against the gray sky!
Cloudy sky and that flag adds beauty to the whole landscape.
This is great.
Cool photo. Sad location though.
Have a great weekend.
Happy SWF,Yogi!Have a nice weekend!
Yogi, great shot of the veterans cemetery. The flags are beautiful. I would not like to answer the phone at your house. Have a great weekend!
Molto bella questa foto con in primo piano la bandiera Americana nello fondo del tuo cielo così azzurro !
Bye Myriam
oh wow …
What timing!
That’s funny about the phone number. When I was growing up, our phone number differed from a Rev. Brown’s by one digit. Every Sunday morning, old ladies called looking for Rev. Brown….
The flag is huge! I probably would have changed my number, but I guess it is better than 1 number difference from a pizza joint.
