Mayfest is an annual festival in downtown Tulsa. It is a great place to go if you like to people watch as they wander around downtown looking at the arts and crafts booths, the food stands and all the music.
I like the colors and the sounds and looking at the different people who attend the fair.
And of course I’m easily distracted. These are the gas lights at my employer’s parking garage. A gas company has to have gas lights right?
Sorry for the effects. I used Corel Paint Shop’s enamel effect.
We have some gas lights here too. I never even noticed them until I was out one day looking for some blog pictures!
Are there lights in the fountain? I see all kinds of pretty colors in the water and wondered if that’s what I’m seeing in your photograph. Gr8 photo session and it looks like a lot of fun!
I’m off to get a root beer float LOL
Beautiful pictures–I especially like the root beer float picture. The most important question though is if Hansen was there. I remember the story you tell about Hansen being at Mayfest when they were just kids.
How colorful and fun!! I love your pics for the day! The gas lights are beautiful!! Have a wonderful weekend!!
The gas light always look pretty, especially at night. Great photos!
Yogi – I thought the water had an oily sheen – it IS Tulsa after all. Now I see it’s just your effect. I like the gas lamps – a restored house in my Denver neighborhood has them. I like how they flicker.
People-watching is pretty much the only reason I like to go to festivals and fairs any more … but the water and lights are beautiful at yours.
Interesting effect, especially the food vendor.
Fantastic reflections.
