You know I really like the city I live in and sometimes I think it is a pretty big deal (or at least a sizeable middling big deal compared to other cities.) But then I get an opportunity to go hang out in the country and get a different view of things.
(View of downtown Tulsa from Holmes Peak during a trail race last Saturday)
And you know it is an okay place to live but the big blue Oklahoma Sky is so much a bigger deal.
Skywatch Friday
I love living here in Northwest Arkansas. It is one of the most scenic places in the country to call home, but I was born in Henryetta, and raised in Tulsa. I will always be an Okie, and Tulsa will always be where my heart is.
its a great skyline
Great skyline indeed and I do love those vivid, BLUE skies!! Hope you have a great weekend!
I love the wide open view in this part of the country, and how we can watch the storms form from miles away, or just enjoy the lovely blue sky!
I’ve been in your city long time ago -roomy and peaceful was my impression.
Made a mistake with my skywatch Url -delete the link with “artnotesfromJesh” -sorry! I’m putting in the right one right now!
Have a great weekend!
I am used to tall buildings, and I work in the city.
Beautiful structures!
wow such a vibrant blue in that first image… beautiful!
Wow,great skyline,Yogi!
A very good sky-post!
I love the country life, but also love the city. Having opportunity to live close to both is called Lucky person. Happy Skywatching!
Great skyline, but my favorite is the view of Tulsa from the peak! Great shot! Happy Skywatching, Yogi!
Interesting perspective!
Your skyline photo puts Tulsa in the midst of a lot of open space. That’s true and your photo helps me see it. My usual view is from the center out.
These are great. That first shot makes me think of Edward Hopper. I wonder if he ever went west.
Great set of images. I like that skyline very much.
I am incredibly lucky and have lived in both the city and the country and you’re right there is so much wonderfulness of both skylines.
I love your perspective here. you’ve really captured the large vast space the country offers.
Happy sky watching, have a great weekend!
Jen
Wonderful perspectives. Very different but both are impressive.
I love my small city 🙂

The contrast between close up and long shot tells us our place in the universe…:)
Skyline is lovely!
Beautiful, looks like a bright and dark side of your city.
That 2nd shot really puts things into perspective all right. Nice comparison!
Wow,look at all that open space! This really gives you a perspective of how big/small the city is.
So pretty! We hope to come back to Oklahoma someday. We didn’t see enough of it on previous trips.
