Oh, I love these!! And what a great capture!! I normally don’t think of Tulsa as a “romantic” place, but these are delightful!! Hope you have a great weekend!!
Now, this is what a call a really cool shot. I love the idea of the gas lights. They are beautiful. The flames look to be quite tall. Am assuming the posts are the old iron kind. genie
I have a great story about telling my kids to “come home when the lights come on” when we moved into our current neighborhood in 1979. It didn’t take long for them to realize they are gas lights and are ALWAYS on. Oh well, I tried! 😉
cool shot. i wonder why more folks don’t have these? …they are plain awesome in my opinion. have a great weekend. ( :

Beautiful!
How great is that, gas lights! 🙂
I can remember when a gas lamp at the driveway was “the in thing” in residential construction in Tulsa. That was in the early to mid sixties.
The answer to your “retirement” question has been posted. Have a great week-end.
They are even more exciting in the darkness, I’d wager.

Nice! You don’t get to see gas lamps very much these days.
Awesome lights. Look like there should be a lamplighter in costume there.
An Arkies Musings
A restored house in my city neighborhood uses gas lights – it’s wonderful to see them flickering. I like what you did to this photo, too.
Looks like a step back in time.
All that picture needs is snow on the ground to make it a perfect “olde worlde” shot.
Beautiful. 🙂
