Christmas with the Critters

Sorry, I’m still posting about Christmas. There’s twelve days of Christmas, right. I’m not sure what that means but I’m standing by it. If the Tea Partiers and Democrats can stand by their beliefs without understanding them so can I! This is America by goodness!

We are shameless about our animals. Yesterday, Nana brought over her two dogs, Fiona, and Reba, and with those to and our three plus our two cats, the critters outnumbered the people seven to four.

Yep, we buy them presents and give them stockings and such. We give them treats but only sparingly. If you think kids get fussy and sick with too many treats, dogs are worse.

Sweetie is the pet magnet. Here she is attended by four.

Do you celebrate Christmas with your critters?

And kudos to all the people who worked so that many of us could have a warm and safe Christmas. Tulsa dodged a bullet on snow but our city trucks were out spreading sand and salt, the Highway Patrolmen (and Patrolwomen) were out and about. We don’t take you men and women for granted.

Of course we do! It’s hard to get good cat toys, but I bought the kittens a dog toy: an Angry Bird! Right now, of course, they’re jumping in and out of a box and an empty paper bag, alternating when they get bored!

It looked like this at my son’s house over Christmas — doggies getting presents and attention long before the rest of us!! It does look as though you had a terrific and very special Christmas indeed!! Enjoy!!

This is great! I remember when I was in high school and a dear friend told me the legend of the animals’ speaking at midnight on Christmas Eve. The magic of the possibility was not lost on me. I still cherish that magic–and the critters.

Clyde was first up and quick to try out his new bed and his treats. His wagging tail made our morning.

I’ve never had a pet so cannot speak personally on your blog. However, I’m 100% with you on the gritters and others who make our streets manoeuverable at this time of year.

Those are cute critters and would be hard to resist.
I’m too soft hearted to have animals anymore. They are just too unhappy when we go away and they are not allowed on trails in National and State Parks.
