I found this while on a walk just beyond the outer edges of downtown near the apartment house in my post yesterday. It looked to be some sort of retired portable carnival ride that had been out of service for a few years.

I’m loving all the colored light caps.
i agree. love the colors. eye popping indeed. (:
I, too, love the colors and what a terrific, different capture for the day!! You do find some good ones!!
You mean there’s not a graveyard for those things?
Makes an interesting photo. I’m glad you said what it is as I never would have guessed!
Interesting. I wonder if those “lights” could find another use. They look like fun.
It definitely came from a carnival. Let’s open it up and see what unfolds. You do find some interesting photo subjects on these little walks of yours. Keep it up, by all means.
All those light bulbs, bet it looked pretty in its heyday.
I need you to get to the bottom of this, Yogi. Start sleuthing!
How sad, a lonely carnival ride that doesn’t get to hear the laugh of the children. Interesting that it was left somewhere.
I love a good find like that! I also like how you photographed it with the angle and the colors from the lights.

I’m afraid, in England, those light bulbs would have been “half-inched” pinched!!!
Quite a find….great shot of discarded piece of colorful funtime equipment….unique
